The first international event of Breaching the Walls was held on Friday 13 December 2019 at the University of Bielefeld (Germany). The event involved all the partners: the Gramsci Emilia-Romagna Foundation, as lead partner, the University of Bielefeld, the Institute
ENG Breaching the Walls wants to stimulate a plural narration of the historical, memorial and cultural processes that weave the production of European identity. To this end, international events will be organized in the cities of the promoters to discuss and re-elaborate, in a horizontal and participatory way, the themes that animate the project and the problems that, in its evolution, this will highlight.
The events will be characterized by a constant: to keep in dynamic tension the national specificities of the host contexts with the European horizon, in the awareness that only the maintenance of this tension can allow the advancement of a critical and comparative analysis. A comparison able to respect and recognize the emergence of a multiple and open European identity.
In this page will be available the programs of the events and the results produced by them.
