The interviews conducted by the Institute of Contemporary History

The interviews conducted by the Institute of Contemporary History in Prague were published, consisting of life stories and direct questions on the Berlin Wall issue, such as memories of that day, that historical moment and its “real” and symbolic meaning.

The sample he addressed is composite and heterogeneous, by gender, age, territorial and social origin, and includes entrepreneurs, politicians, teachers, technicians, ordinary people, as well as employees of companies or pensioners. The interviewees therefore report a wide range of different experiences and reflections, both on the theme of freedom and on the concept of walls.
